We are very proud of our day-to-day achievements. It is also nice to know that we have been recognised beyond the school gate for our other successes and efforts!

2012
ENVIRO SCHOOLS SILVER AWARD
We were delighted to gain our silver award. Students, parents, whånau and community members all worked very hard alongside our Enviro Schools co-ordinator, Roz Mitchell, to demonstrate that we were worthy of moving from bronze status to silver.

2011
NATIONAL FINALISTS IN THE TREEMENDOUS MAKEOVER COMPETITION
We were selected as one of the top eleven schools nationwide in this competition. Although we did not win, were absolutely delighted to have got as far as we did! Many thanks to parent Paul Pope, for drawing together our application so superbly.

'ELSIE EVANS' RECORDING
Room 5 visited the University of Otago Music Department Recording Studios to record 'Elsie Evans' - an original composition by Phil Corfield that will be used to celebrate the restoration of the harbour ferry. OTAKOU KIDS I.C.T. CONFERENCE

NZ POST CHILDREN'S BOOK AWARDS QUIZ FOR YEAR 7 - YEAR 8 STUDENTS

Our team of four (Jamie, Kahu, Heather and Bayley) won this year's quiz, beating off strong challenges from other full primary, college and intermediate teams.
